Postby jmtaylor » Wed Sep 02, 2009 8:09 am

here are some new pages on my web site. I had to rebuild rapidly after a crash. Please take a look and let me know if you find any errors!
Thanx,
Mike
Information on Growing Vegetables in southern California, a very popular page on When to Plant Veggies, and lastly, and another very popular page on selecting Recommended Vegetable Varieties.

I have also updated my page on how to make compost. Several people have mentioned that this short page made their compost work - it is nice to get complements...

Other people have found the Plant Symptoms and Causes to be equally helpful.

I split one big page apart and created a Video Resources page, featuring some favorite gardening-oriented classes, lecture and panel discussions.

One page that has been hard to SEO is my Victory Gardens Revisited page. Even though it has good content on War Gardens of WWI including a pdf version of the WWI handbook, and WW II's Victory Gardens
, it is buried under 2.7 million competing pages...

On page that surprised me was this one on Vegetable Garden Design Software. It contains a review of the vegetable garden design software I use, and is suitable for vegetable garden planning, raised vegetable garden, vegetable garden layout, and raised bed vegetable garden needs.

I am currently working on a page called Organic Vegetable Gardening. There is a lot of competition for this phrase, but this page may be a good category head for sub-pages that make use of the LSI file layout... Other key words I hope it will index under include organic vegetable gardening, vegetable garden layout, vegetable garden planting, and [urlhttp://www.gardening-coaches.com/organic-vegetable-gardening.php]growing garden vegetables

My when to plant veggies page has received over 20,000 page views. This southern California vegetable planting guide has all the crops grown in our area, and received very positive customer comments.

Now that fall has arrived, I have put up a new page on fall vegetable gardening which discusses which fall vegetable plants you can still plant. It works well in conjunction with my when to plant veggies page.

The page on vegetable garden design includes a garden design software review and video demonstration. I am surprised at the number of people who stumble on this page.

Growing Vegetables in Southern California - updated page

Postby jmtaylor » Sat Oct 03, 2009 10:05 pm

the Growing Vegetables in southern California page is also seeing a surge of traffic from referring sites and from organic search engine traffic, much of that from related keyphrases the page is not actually optimized for.
